Installing NotePress Safely on Android

Direct website download guide & Google Play Protect walkthrough

Why does Android show "Unrecognized App" or "File may be harmful"?
Android displays this standard notice for every APK downloaded directly from websites rather than the centralized Play Store. NotePress is 100% clean, verified, and ad-free.
1

Download the Production APK

Click the Download APK button on this site. If Chrome asks "File might be harmful. Do you want to download NotePress.apk anyway?", tap "Download anyway".

2

Allow Unknown Sources

Tap the downloaded notification. If Android asks for permission, tap Settings → Allow from this source (Chrome / Files).

3

Google Play Protect: Tap "Install Anyway"

If Play Protect prompts with "Blocked by Play Protect" or "Unrecognized app", click "More details" and select "Install anyway".

4

Permanent Play Protect Whitelisting

For app publishers: submit the APK to Google's official developer appeal form to whitelist the certificate hash across all Android devices:
